Master Pius Martial Arts has spent more than two decades teaching the kids of Sandy Springs that confidence is built, not given. The Kids program is the cornerstone of the school: every class is run personally by GrandMaster Pius Ilukhor, an 8th-dan Taekwondo black belt who knows every student by name and tracks their progress week to week.
Classes are small enough that no child gets lost in the back row. Kicks, blocks, forms, and sparring are taught in clear, age-appropriate progressions — and the same five tenets get repeated until they become second nature: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Parents tell us, over and over, the same story: a quieter kid finds their voice; a wilder kid finds their focus; a shy kid finds their group of friends. None of that happens by accident. It happens because the standard is consistent and the instruction is real.
The curriculum is traditional Taekwondo, taught the way GrandMaster Pius was taught: with discipline, with respect, and with patience for the fact that every child develops at their own pace. Belt testing isn’t a cash grab — kids advance when they’re ready, and the standards are clear from day one. Parents are welcome to watch any class from the sidelines (and most do).
The first class is free. Wear comfortable clothes, arrive ten minutes early, and we’ll handle the rest. If it’s the right fit, you’ll know by the time class ends. If it isn’t, we’ll be the first to say so.
