from Dunwoody Village
Dunwoody parents usually ask us two things before they visit: how far is it, and who actually teaches the class? The short answers are about ten minutes, and GrandMaster Pius Ilukhor.
A school-night drive, not a commute
Our dojang is in Loehmann’s Plaza on Roswell Road. From Dunwoody Village it’s about four miles on surface roads, so you never have to fight I-285 or GA-400 to get to class.
That short hop matters on a weeknight. The kids class starts at 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, which leaves time to get home from school, grab a snack and still walk in early.
What your child gets out of it
Taekwondo gives kids a clear path and the satisfaction of climbing it themselves. Each belt is a goal they work toward and earn when they’re ready. Once a child learns they can reach a hard goal, they start believing it about other things too.
Along the way they practice the five tenets of Taekwondo every class: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. The goal is that you see them at home, not just on the mat.
And your child is never just a face in the crowd. GrandMaster Pius runs the kids classes himself, keeps them small and knows every student by name. From the parent seating, you can watch the progress happen week to week.
When the school day ends
If your child needs somewhere to be after the bell, our After-School program runs weekdays from 2 to 6 PM. It pairs real Taekwondo training with homework time and adult supervision, and we arrange each family’s schedule around dismissal times and your pickup window. Give us a call to talk through your child’s school.
Room for the whole family
Kids aren’t the only ones who train here. Teens and adults share the 6:00 PM class, adults train again at 7:00, and beginners are welcome at any age. If you’ve spent enough evenings watching from the seats, you’re welcome to join in.
Come see it for yourself
Your first 7 days are free. Wear comfortable clothes, arrive ten minutes early to meet GrandMaster Pius, and your child joins a real class alongside our students. If it’s the right fit, you’ll both know by the end of the week.
