If you’ve searched for martial arts around Brookhaven, you’ve seen plenty of options. The question that matters is what your child will get out of it. Here’s why families make the fifteen-minute trip up GA-400.

Why it’s worth the drive

Most parents come to us hoping for the same things: a child who listens, sticks with something hard and believes in themselves. That’s what Taekwondo builds, one class at a time.

Your child gets real attention. Groups stay small, so GrandMaster Pius corrects their technique himself, notices when they’re struggling and knows when they’re ready for more. Nobody hides in the back row.

Every belt is earned. Children move up when they’re ready, not on a sales calendar, so the pride they feel tying on a new belt is real. That’s confidence they carry off the mat.

Milestones the whole family can watch

Belt promotion tests are held right here at the dojang, with families watching from the side of the mat, and Kukkiwon black belt testing comes around about every six months. That first new belt, earned in front of the people who drove them to every class, is a big moment.

Making the drive easy

From north Brookhaven, the trip is GA-400 North to Exit 6 and a couple of turns, about fifteen minutes with light traffic. If weekday traffic is a concern, Saturday mornings are an easy place to start: kids train at 9:00 AM and teens at 10:00 AM, so brothers and sisters can come on the same trip.

Adults have their own evening classes at 6:00 and 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. You don’t need to be in shape to start, and beginners are welcome at any age.

Your first visit

Your first 7 days are free, and you won’t need a uniform. Wear something comfortable, arrive ten minutes early, and GrandMaster Pius will walk you through everything before class begins.
