Adults Taekwondo

Traditional Taekwondo for adults — real self-defense, real conditioning, real mental discipline. Beginners welcome at any age.

What you'll gain

  • No prior experience required
  • Real self-defense capability
  • Full-body conditioning
  • Mental focus and stress release
  • Small, supportive adult class
  • Direct instruction from GrandMaster Pius

The Adult class at Master Pius Martial Arts isn’t a fitness gimmick and it isn’t a kids’ program in adult sizes. It is traditional Taekwondo for grown adults — taught with the same precision and intensity GrandMaster Pius Ilukhor brings to every class he’s run in the last two decades.

You don’t need to be in shape. You need to start to get in shape. The first month, you’ll be tired in a way you haven’t been in years; by month three, you’ll have a new baseline for what your body can do. Strikes, blocks, kicks, forms, controlled sparring — the curriculum builds real self-defense capability alongside real conditioning. The mental side is harder to put into words but easier to feel: focus, restraint, the ability to slow your breathing under pressure. The skills carry into work, into relationships, into how you sleep.

Adults at MPMA come from every background. Office workers, parents looking for something that’s just for them, men in their fifties starting from zero, women who want to know how to defend themselves and stop relying on hope. The class is small and the instruction is direct. There is no ego on the mat — only the work.

What students say

"Master Pius Martial Arts is not only the leading Taekwondo school in the Sandy Springs area but also a staple in the community. This school inspires its students to reach their highest potential and make real friends while enjoying a sport that teaches fitness, technique, and agility. Taekwondo is not just a sport here — it is a way of life, and the kids learn the five tenets: etiquette, modesty, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit."

— Adaeze

"Master Pius is the best place I ever took my kids. The discipline, the manners, the respect — and the kids have fun. If you want a place where your child learns good manners and real respect, take them to Master Pius. You will never regret it. Best martial arts school we've found."
