Welcome to our dojang
By GrandMaster Pius Ilukhor
For more than twenty years, this dojang has been a quiet fixture of Sandy Springs. Kids who started here at five have come back as parents, bringing their own. Adults who walked in nervous on their first day are still here, sometimes a decade later. That continuity is the school we’ve built — and it’s the school we want to introduce to you here.
What we teach
Traditional Taekwondo, in the form it’s been taught for generations. No shortcuts, no flashy gimmicks, no monthly auto-promotions. The five tenets of Taekwondo — courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit — aren’t poster decoration here. They’re how we run every class.
Children who come through these doors learn how to bow, how to listen, how to fall, how to get up. They learn that real respect is a habit, not a feeling. Adults learn the same things, plus the calm of stepping onto a mat after a long day and giving the next hour to something that requires presence.
What you’ll find different
A few things, honestly:
- GrandMaster-led. I teach every class personally. Not “supervise” — teach. When you book a trial, you’re meeting the head instructor.
- No high-pressure sales. Your first class is free. If it’s not the right fit, we’ll tell you that too. We’ve never been in a hurry to sign anyone.
- Sparring is optional. For kids especially. You can train the full curriculum, earn belts, and develop real skill without ever having to spar if it’s not for you.
- Family-aware. Most of our students come through the family. Siblings, parents — we make scheduling work, and we know the names.
How to start
The fastest way to know if we’re a fit is to come in. Bring comfortable clothes. Stay 45 minutes (kids) or an hour (teens and adults). Watch, ask questions, and decide.
